Diversity and InclusionKey to our successAt Erickson Living, we recognize that a workforce that reflects the rich and dynamic diversity of our nation’s population is essential to our success. Diversity and Inclusion CouncilThe company formed the Diversity and Inclusion Council in 2008 to develop and implement strategies that promote the company’s business objectives in four key areas: employees, residents, the marketplace and our corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The council’s work has resulted in the company extending health and wellness benefits to same-sex partners of employees and offering adoption benefits to employees. Most Erickson Living campuses now have diversity and inclusion committees comprising residents and staff. Celebrating our differencesErickson Living’s communities enthusiastically embrace and celebrate the diversity of their staffs and residents in fun and interesting ways, from interfaith holiday celebrations, cultural heritage months and holiday celebrations to community forums and college-level courses that explore various ethnicities and religions. Diversity trainingErickson Living has launched a new employee training program called “Working Together,” which focuses on encouraging a common understanding of the organization’s strategy on diversity and inclusion. Employee participation levels across the enterprise are high. |
