- A: No. Renaissance Gardens is your home. You or your loved one can feel free to structure your day however you see fit.
- Q: Who determines what services I or my loved one will need?
- A: Our full-time team of doctors, nurse practitioners and social workers in collaboration with the resident and family will complete an assessment to determine what level of care would most benefit you or your loved one.
- Q: Do I or my loved one have to be a current resident of Brooksby Village to come to Renaissance Gardens?
- A:
No. You or your loved one can come to Renaissance Gardens without being a current Brooksby Village resident. This applies to permanent stays such as Assisted Care, Nursing Care or Memory Care, as well as temporary stays such as Respite Care or Short-term Rehab.
- Q: How do your doctors and care providers compare to those in other care centers?
- A:
While many other care centers employ only part-time or visiting professionals, our medical staff is here full-time. They focus solely on the 65-plus population, so you or your loved one gets expert, targeted care.
Our team includes:
- Board-certified physicians who average 19 years working with seniors.
- Nurse practitioners with an average 4 years experience.
- Nurse clinical specialists in mental health with an average 13 years experience.
- Highly-trained physical, speech and occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers and more.
- Q: How much does it cost to live at Renaissance Gardens, and who pays for it?
- A: All residents of Renaissance Gardens pay a one-time refundable entrance deposit. After that, pricing is structured according to the level of care required. Some services such as rehab are covered by Medicare. For specific costs, see our pricing page.
- Q: Is Renaissance Gardens Medicare-approved?
- A: Yes. We are approved by Medicare.
- Q: Does Renaissance Gardens accept Medicaid?
- A: Typically people who require Medicaid have exhausted their funds and will not have the entrance deposit necessary to move here.
- Q: Do you have private residences?
- A: Yes. All of our rooms are private.
- Q: Do Renaissance Gardens residents have access to the amenities of the larger Brooksby Village campus?
- A:
Yes. Residents can take full advantage of everything Brooksby Village has to offer, including the swimming pool, restaurants, clubs and activities, transportation, day trips, walking paths and more.
- Q: Are visitors welcome? Do I need to call ahead?
- A: You are free to visit your loved one 24-7. There is no need to call ahead. Visiting is entirely unrestricted.
- Q: What happens if I run out of money?
- A: One of the greatest worries people express is: "What happens if I run out of money?" The Erickson commitment provides two options:
- The entrance deposit may be used to pay for care.
- If you exhaust the entrance deposit in paying your loved one's service package, we will continue to provide the same high quality of care, and your loved one will continue to live in his or her private Renaissance Gardens residence.
This arrangement takes the financial worry out of your loved one's future, so that he or she can fully benefit from living at Renaissance Gardens and always receive the best in care. For details, please review the Renaissance Gardens Residence and Care Agreement.
