Retirement wellness FAQ
Retirement wellness—keeping healthy and active
Retirement wellness means staying active, vibrant and independent—so you can enjoy this time you’ve earned. Erickson Living communities offer numerous health and wellness services right on-site, plus a continuum of care should your needs ever change. Q: Do Erickson Living doctors work exclusively at the on-campus Medical Center? A: Yes. Unlike many other retirement options, Erickson Living doctors are full-time staff members who practice solely with us. Q: What happens if I have a health emergency? A: In retirement, wellness is crucial, but so is rapid access to emergency care. At Erickson Living there's always a doctor on call, plus a 24-hour emergency response team. That means, at Erickson Living communities, response times average three minutes or less, as opposed to nine minutes for outside responders. Q: What types of insurance are accepted? A: Erickson Living communities accept Medicare and most supplemental insurance. Q: Do I have to use the medical center? A: No. Unlike other retirement communities, Erickson Living gives you the freedom to choose the provider you want. Even if you decide to stay with your current doctor, you’re welcome to use the on-campus medical center as needed. This way, a copy of your medical records can be kept on file here in case there’s an emergency. Didn’t see your question here? Give us a call at 1-800-917-8521.
