Ann's Choice Residents Tour NBC10 TV Studio

On June 29, eight residents from Ann’s Choice, an Erickson Living Retirement Community in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, had the opportunity to tour the NBC10 television station and studio in Philadelphia. Many of the residents who participated in the tour are members of the resident-run TV studio at Ann’s Choice.

The tour at NBC10 included guided access to areas such as the control room, the studio, the outdoor weather patio, and the newsroom. The residents also had the opportunity to sit in the studio to watch the live news broadcast and watch the meteorologists at work using the green screen.

“Residents had a wonderful time touring NBC10 and meeting news anchor Vai Sikahema and Tracy Davidson and meteorologists Glen Schwartz,” said Ann’s Choice TV Coordinator David Rector. “We also received some great ideas and tips from the on-air talent and producers which we can use in our community’s TV studio.”

Ann’s Choice TV broadcasts 33 monthly live shows, informational programs, documentaries, interview segments and other community-oriented programs with more than 40 Ann’s Choice residents serving as on-air talent and working behind the scenes in the studio. In addition, the TV station keeps residents informed about upcoming theatre and cultural trips as well as the more than 150 clubs and activities on campus at the vibrant senior living community.

Ann’s Choice is one of 19 retirement communities managed by Erickson Living.  Located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the scenic 103-acre campus is home to more than 2,000 residents. For more information, visit www.annschoicecommunity.com.
