Eagle's Trace Residents and Guests Party Up a Storm for Charity

HOUSTON, TX---They danced to Zydeco music, feasted on Gulf Coast Cajun grilled shrimp and dove into bread pudding served with vanilla-bourbon sauce. Yes, residents and special guests of Eagle's Trace, an Erickson Living retirement community in West Houston, seized the day to Party Up a Storm in the middle of hurricane season. But it was the price of admission that made the event extra special. Attendees were asked to bring one non-perishable food item to donate to representatives from the Katy Christian Ministries Food Pantry.  And they certainly answered the call, contributing over one hundred food items and other plastic bags filled with groceries. "One of the hallmarks of Eagle's Trace is simple.  Give our residents a reason to do something good, and we're all in," described Janice Linsenmayer, a resident ambassador.  "In these times, deserving families need a helping hand, and we recognize the importance of contributing to worthy organizations such as Katy Christian Ministries." The sales & marketing department at Eagle's Trace planned the event, while the campus catering team prepared the festive menu. Curtis Poullard & the Creole Zydeco Band provided the toe-tapping musical entertainment.
