People Bring Toys to Annual Trim a Tree Parties at Linden Ponds

Hingham, MA - People who live and work at Linden Ponds gathered together to collect toys for the Hingham Police and Fire Departments at the annual Trim a Tree Party in the Derby and Oakleaf Clubhouses.  The Very Merry Dickens Carolers also performed. "We are thrilled to be working directly with the Hingham Police and Fire Departments," said Christina Jones, Community Services Manager, Linden Ponds.  "This is our annual Tree Trimming Event so we ask that everyone bring a toy and an ornament for the Linden Ponds holiday tree that represents their culture, religion, family and/or traditions.  We collect hundreds of toys for Toys for Tots every year and come together as a community to decorate the trees." During the tree trimming parties, people who live and work at Linden Ponds brought a new unwrapped toy to support the efforts of the Hingham Police and Fire Departments for their annual Toys for Tots Campaign sponsored by the United States Marine Corps. Hingham Fire and Police Departments will accept the toys at Linden Ponds in a few weeks. There is also a Festival of Trees on display decorated by the Linden Ponds Culture Squad. Linden Ponds is a full-service continuing care retirement community situated on a scenic 108-acre campus in Hingham, Massachusetts. The vibrant campus opened in October 2004, and is home to 1,200 seniors who are enjoying life to the fullest.  Erickson Living is the developer and manager of Linden Ponds. http://twitpic.com/7pw1jo   Joe McStowe, Community Services Manager, Linden Ponds,  organizes all the toys people at Linden Ponds donated for the Hingham Police and Fire Toys for Tots programs http://twitpic.com/7pw2gm  (Left to right) Phyllis Marglin  and Phyllis Perry decorate the Linden Ponds tree
