PEABODY, MA - More than 250 people who live and work at Brooksby Village attended the 12th Annual Brooksby Village Charity Gala  at Brooksby Village.

"We are thrilled we were able to raise $90,000 this year for the Benevolent Care Fund," said Director of Philanthropy and Communications at Brooksby Village, Beth McNelis.  "Each year the Gala brings together both people who live and work at Brooksby Village with our supporting vendors and local community members.  The evening features a scrumptious sit-down dinner created by our own Executive Chefs, a pre-dinner band and much more.  It's a wonderful event the entire community looks forward to every year."

This year guests enjoyed Sisters of Swing, the story of the Andrews Sisters.  Proceeds from the Gala benefit the Benevolent Care Fund which is a Fund set up to provide support to residents who, despite careful planning, outlive their financial resources. This Fund enables residents to remain at Brooksby Village, knowing they will always receive the care they deserve.  Over 1800 people live at Brooksby Village which has three large clubhouses featuring an on-site medical center, staffed by full-time doctors, five restaurants, two convenience stores, two beauty parlors, a TV studio, a swimming pool, activity rooms, classrooms, game rooms and even two branches of a bank.  Residents also have the opportunity to take part in hundreds of different clubs and activities.  The community also has its own Interfaith Chapel on campus that serves as the physical foundation for a strong faith-based community.  About Erickson Living:  Erickson Living develops and manages full-service retirement communities including Brooksby Village that provide worry-free living for America's seniors - the country's fastest-growing population segment.  Erickson's refundable entrance deposit and predictable monthly service fees provide residents across the country financial peace of mind.  Comprehensive health and wellness services, integrated into every community, lead to demonstrated resident benefits.  A robust complement of resident programs and facilities promote an engaged, fulfilling lifestyle that is reflected in resident satisfaction levels that exceed the industry average.  And the company's wide-ranging employee programs have earned Erickson numerous awards, including Fortune magazine's "Best Companies to Work For®" in 2008 and 2009.  For more information, visit <> .
