Rib Cook-Off at Tallgrass Creek

OVERLAND PARK, KS (April 3, 2013) -- Two of the culinary teams this week at Tallgrass Creek retirement community in Overland Park decided to out-do each other and hold a cook-off to see who could make the best ribs. Tension and anticipation was high as Line Cooks Torrey Hill and Aaron Fletcher went head-to-head in a good-hearted competition. With Marc Lewis, Executive Chef, and Faith Poulikidis, Preparation Cook, at the judges table the votes were cast for taste, tenderness and of course best beans. The winner with the best out of 45 points was Torrey Hill. Both chefs were met with a huge round of applause from the kitchen and floor staffs. Congratulations, Torrey. The battle for the best ribs will continue next year.
