Event to include film premiere and Q&A with Producer of Honor Flight: One Last Mission

WHAT: Greenspring retirement community in Springfield, Va. is home to hundreds of veterans who fought in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.  In honor of National Military Appreciation Month, Greenspring will be hosting a special event to celebrate and honor their service.  The event will be held on Friday, May 17 during Armed Forces Week. WHEN: Friday, May 17 11:00am:  Visit with resident representatives from Greenspring's military & patriotic resident groups: Greenspring Marines, Naval History and Heritage Group, Daughters of the American Revolution, Aero Club, American Legion: Greenspring Post 123, and Women in Military Service.  12:00pm: Luncheon for resident military representatives & prospective residents. 1:00pm: Premiere of Honor Flight: One Last Mission This will be the first ever premiere of the 2012 documentary at a retirement community.  The documentary is about four WWII veterans and a Midwest community coming together to give them the trip of a lifetime - flying them to Washington, DC to see the memorial constructed for them nearly 60 years after the War.  After the screening, a Q&A will be held with the Producer, Clay Broga.  Nearly 300 residents and prospective residents are expected to attend this premiere - many of them will be veterans themselves or spouses, sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters of veterans.
