Public Invited to Charlestown's May 22-23 Resident Art Show/Sale and June 1 Flea Market

CATONSVILLE, MD (May 10, 2013) The public is invited to Charlestown retirement community's upcoming Resident Art Show/Sale and Flea Market. Both events will be held on the Charlestown campus, 719 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD. The Art Show will be held May 22, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.,  and May 23, from 10 a.m. -  2 p.m., in the Erickson Conference Center. The exhibition will feature the work of more than  Charlestown residents in categories such as painting (acrylics, oils and watercolors), photography, three-dimensional design, wood art and works on paper (charcoal, pastels, collage, pen and ink). Participants range from those who have been professionally involved in art, such as retired teachers and exhibitors, to those who have developed their skills later in life. The Flea Market will be held  June 1, from  9 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Corporate parking lot. Scores of vendors will sell everything but the kitchen sink. Items that might be found will include: baseball caps, posters and prints, movies on DVD, jewelry, sunglasses, toys, clothing, household items, etc. A portion of proceeds will benefit Charlestown's Benevolent Care Fund.
