Fox Run Celebrates its 10th Anniversary with a Focus on the Future

NOVI, MI (June 10, 2013) -- A Thursday, June 27, Carnival to mark the 10th Anniversary of Fox Run retirement community will be held on the community's Novi, MI, campus. Hundreds of residents and staff will join Novi Mayor Bob Gatt and Fox Run officials at this 2-4 p.m. Big Top Tent celebration, which will feature food, fun and memories.  Entertainment will include the Michael Knight Band, a Barber Shop Quartet and the  Timber Lane Dance Troupe. Lawn Games will be held. Fox Run set a senior industry standard of excellence with its introduction of an on-site Medical Center supported by an integrated health care system, climate-controlled walkways connecting residential buildings and an array of resident-run clubs and activities that foster socialization and wellness. It continues to do so today with the use of emerging technology in areas of fitness, dining and nutrition, health services, and apartment home design. In addition, Fox Run's Erickson Realty and Moving Services, which was created in 2006 to meet customer needs to sell their homes,  is now a standard in the Senior housing Industry.  The position of Personal Move Consultant -- which manages the home sale process including referring realtors, downsizers, estate sales,  and movers - is unique.    Fox Run today has more than 1,000 residents and sits on 108 acres. It offers extensive wellness and prevention programs, balance assessment and fall prevention programs, and Fitness and Aquatics Centers. Also, there are more than 100 resident-inspired and resident-led clubs, committees and interest groups in these categories: art; cards; computers and technology; dance; faith-based and interfaith; fitness and sports; games; gardening; lifelong learning; music; literature, and philanthropy. Fox Run marked a 22 percent increase in settlements of apartment homes for yearend 2012. It also marked a jump in reservations last year.
