Tallgrass Creek Grandmother of 7 Offers Grandparenting Tips to Prince Charles

OVERLAND PARK KS (July 23, 2013) - Eva Angell, a resident of Tallgrass Creek retirement community in Overland Park, knows a thing or two about being a grandparent. She has 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. And she respectfully offers the following tips to Prince Charles to help him be a good grandfather to his new Royal grandson, the son of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Dutchess of Cambridge, born this week in London.  Angell, who is a self-described "occasional" Royal watcher, said Prince Charles should:
  1. Love his grandson -- always.
  2. Be proud of him.
  3. Encourage him in all of his activities.
  4. Join him in his activities whenever possible.
  5. Have a listening ear.
  6. If his grandson wants advice, give it. Otherwise, withhold it.
  7. Take time to spend one-on-one time with him.
  8. Do fun things with him.
The new Royal baby will be age-qualified to live at Tallgrass Creek in the year 2075. Angell, jokingly, also said Prince Charles should teach his grandson to swim, so the boy will be able to participate in Tallgrass Creek Aquatics Center activities in his retirement.                Angell worked as an office manager for a medical office in Kansas City, Missouri, prior to moving with her husband, Ken, to Tallgrass Creek a year ago from Leawood, Kansas. She is a member of the Tallgrass Creek Choir, the Hospitality Committee and the Travel Committee.
