MEDIA ADVISORY: SOLD OUT: Marine Corps Major Discusses Role of Prayer In His Life at Cedar Crest Event on Tuesday, March 18th

POMPTON PLAINS, NJ - Cedar Crest will host a very special speaker for its 6th Annual Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday, March 18th at 9 a.m. in the community's Woodland Commons Conference Center. Major Matthew Kutilek, USMC will discuss prayer from the perspective of a soldier. This event is sold out. In 2001, Major Kutilek was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. He deployed to Iraq as an infantry officer in 2004 and led his Marines in a variety of combat operations. In 2009 he deployed to Afghanistan. During this deployment as a Weapons Company commander while leading a patrol of his Marines, he was severely wounded by an enemy sniper. Following a lengthy recovery period he remained on active duty and is currently stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. Major Kutilek is a man of faith and a man of prayer.
