Windy Wooders Completing a Dollhouse for Children's Hospital

HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO (April 22, 20114) -- Wind Crest residents are now completing a wooden dollhouse that will be donated to Children's Hospital in Denver. The dollhouse is 33 inches long, 27 inches wide and 30 inches high. The residents are members of the Wind Wooders woodshop group. Funds earned by Windy Wooders members through their repair/construction projects, and donations from recipient residents for their services, have helped to finance the furnishings and supplies for the dollhouse.   Other members have arranged for the construction of a Plexiglas cover for the house. Monies from both the Treasure Chest at Wind Crest and from the shop treasury have been combined to cover those costs ( $385.00). A small brass plaque that will be mounted on the house reads: " To children and the young at heart, from the residents of the Wind Crest Retirement Community."
