MEDIA ADVISORY: Legislative Delegation to Tour Lantern Hill and Receive Construction Update on New Jersey's Newest Retirement Community in New Providence

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - On Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 1 p.m., Congressman Leonard Lance from New Jersey's 7th Congressional District, N.J., Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick and Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz from the 21st State Legislative District, and members of the New Providence Borough Council will visit the Lantern Hill construction site and receive a status update on the project. Lantern Hill, which is being developed by Erickson Living, is expected to open in the fall 2015, and will be the company's third continuing care retirement community in New Jersey. Lantern Hill will consist of 275 wonderful independent living apartments, as well as housing for skilled nursing and assisted living residents. The officials will all take part in an exciting photo op. They will place their hands on the handle of a detonator that ignites dynamite to blast rock for what will end up being the area for one of Lantern Hill's first buildings. Media are invited to attend this tour to take photos of the legislators and construction, receive information about how Lantern Hill is bringing employment to the region and a high-quality lifestyle to seniors in search of a wonderful retirement destination in Union County. There will also be data supplied illustrating the recent boon in the local real estate market and economic data showing the job created from this project. Since the Lantern Hill Sales Office opened on April 1 of this year, the team has taken close to 400 priority list deposits- an astounding number. The refundable deposits provide "priority-list" status, giving seniors a way to secure their future home at Lantern Hill. Media should park in the Lantern Hill parking lot, located at 603 Mountain Ave., New Providence, N.J. 07974. Media should assemble outside the sales office and then they will be directed where to drive to the construction site. Refreshments and briefing will take place following the photo op which begins at 1 p.m. Media attending should wear hard-soled flat shoes due to the construction area.
