Local Seniors and Students Honor Veterans Day Together

The Devonshire at PGA National retirement community will host a special multi-generational commemoration on Tuesday

Veterans of Devonshire at PGA NationalWHAT:  At least one-quarter of Devonshire at PGA National’s residents are military veterans.  Many of the veterans had truly historic careers, including Stanley Wilner, a WWII vet who survived building the bridge over the River Kwai.

On Tuesday, the community will host a special commemoration honoring veterans; special features of the program will include:

  • Presentation of the colors by the Palm Beach Gardens High School ROTC cadets
  • A keynote by Mary Goodman of the West Palm Beach VA Hospital
  • A display of photos from many of the veterans residing at Devonshire
