Holiday Bazaar at Ashby Ponds Raises Nearly $10,000 for Resident Care Fund

(Ashburn, Va.) - Ashby Ponds retirement community recently hosted the community’s 6th Annual Holiday Bazaar.  This was the largest bazaar in the community’s history; more than 35 exhibitors featured a variety of items from jewelry to woodcrafts to baked goods and beyond!

The bazaar offers an opportunity for the community’s residents to showcase their talents as well as raise awareness and funds for the Ashby Ponds Benevolent Care Fund.  The fund provides support to Ashby Ponds residents who, despite careful planning, have outlived their financial resources.  From a combination of bazaar exhibitor table fees and sale proceed donations, nearly $10,000 was raised this year for the Ashby Ponds Benevolent Care Fund.

“I’m extremely pleased with the number of exhibitors and shoppers this year at our 6th Annual Holiday Bazaar,” said Debbie Cannatella, philanthropy manager at Ashby Ponds.  “Every year we’re able to build more and more excitement and momentum around this incredible event.”

Ashby Ponds operates as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
