Ashby Ponds Welcomes New Residents with the Opening of Hickory Glen

The residential building will add more than 100 new neighbors to the Ashburn community

(Ashburn, Va.) — On January 16, Ashby Ponds officially introduced Hickory Glen, a new residential building on campus.  Residents have now begun to move into their new homes at the community’s 8th independent living building.

Hickory Glen at Ashby PondsHickory Glen includes 68 independent living apartment homes with 14 different floor plans varying in size among one- and two-bedroom layouts.  Apartment homes feature amenities such as stainless steel kitchen appliances, granite countertops, and upgraded lighting and flooring options.  Additionally, nearly half of the apartment homes offer an outdoor living space with a screened-in porch or a patio.  Covered, underground parking is also available for residents of Hickory Glen.

This spring, the community will also introduce Great Oak Clubhouse, the second community building at Ashby Ponds.  The 20,000 square-foot clubhouse will feature a performing arts theater, a banquet room, a reading room, an art studio and gallery, additional classrooms, and a new control room for the community’s in-house television station.  Additionally, a new café will provide for a 5th dining venue on campus.
