Wind Crest Women's Club Helps Thousands of People Each Year

HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO  (January 26, 2015) – The Wind Crest retirement community Women’s club helps thousands of people each year through outreach projects and fundraisers. The past year’s results included the following:

 

  • 675 Easter Baskets were made for Wind Crest residents
  • 40 bookmarks were made for newcomers to the community
  • 240 baby hats were knitted and donated to Littleton Hospital
  • 330 “Hats for Kids” were given to Children’s Hospital
  •  682 Greeting cards were sold
  • 100 flowerpots for 4th of July were made for Mill Vista Lodge
  • 100 Trick or Treat bags for Halloween were made for Mill Vista Lodge
  • $500 donated to the Student Scholarship Fund
  • $500 from The Mini Mall Bake Sale donated to the Staff Appreciation Fund
  • $277 donated to purchase yarn for “Hats for Kids”
  • 37 knitted scarves, 62 Christmas ball ornaments, 75 beaded candy canes, and 60 felt Christmas stockings were made for Meals on Wheels in Littleton, CO.
