February 17 Mardi Gras Celebration at Tallgrass Creek

WHAT:

A Tuesday, February 17, New Orleans-style Mardi Gras celebration by scores of residents of Tallgrass Creek retirement community in Overland Park, KS, in which they will wear wild, whacky, weird,  wicked, and whimsical masks they designed and made during the past month.

Their masks will be judged by a committee of fellow residents, with winners receiving gift cards. They will also wear an assortment of beads as they party ‘til the cows come home, so-to-speak.

There will also be will a Mardi Gras king cake.
