Barbara Zorn Selected as Resident Member of Board of Directors for Oak Crest Village, Inc.

Parkville, MD—Barbara Zorn has been selected as the Resident Member of the Board of Directors for Oak Crest Village, Inc., the governing body for the Erickson Living retirement community located in northeast Baltimore County. 
 
A resident of Oak Crest since 2010, she has taken several leadership roles at the community.  Ms. Zorn served a two-year term on the Residents Advisory Council as Chair and Vice-Chair, and she is currently a standing member of the Core Committee responsible for Oak Crest’s long-term planning process.
 
Additionally, Ms. Zorn co-founded the resident iPad Users Group.
 
“Moving to Oak Crest was one of the best decisions of my life,” stated Ms. Zorn.  “During this time, I’ve enjoyed the opportunity of getting to know and working with my fellow residents and management on a variety of projects.  Now, it is an honor to serve on the Board of Directors as we seek to continue and promote the twenty-year legacy of Oak Crest as a great place to live and work.”
 
Professionally, Ms. Zorn spent twenty-two years with the Maryland Association of CPAs, Inc., serving as the organization’s Executive Director from 1990-1997.  Her duties included coordinating legislative affairs, incorporating technology into the group’s framework and providing timely continuing education opportunities. 
 
A former resident of Bel Air, Maryland, Ms. Zorn has two daughters and six grandchildren.  She previously served on the Bel Air Recreation Board of Directors for ten years.
 
Oak Crest Village, Inc. is organized as a not-for-profit corporation and is a Supported Organization of National Senior Campuses, Inc. (NSC).  Oak Crest is governed by its Board of Directors, whose members are independent of Erickson Living Management, LLC (Erickson Living) and its affiliated organizations.  Erickson Living serves as the developer and manager of Oak Crest.
