Wind Crest's Scenic High Line Overlook Set to Open In October

HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO (August 31, 2015) – Wind Crest retirement community’s trio of new building expansion concludes with the October  opening of High Line Overlook. This building, which combines 30 new apartment homes with multi-use community space and a variety of amenities, is expected to be completely sold out by the time of its opening.

High Line Overlook gets its name from its view overlooking the High Line Canal and the Front Range amid the Rocky Mountains.

High Line Overlook adds the 230-seat Arts and Enrichment Center with a stage and theater seating on the terrace level. The center also houses the community’s TV studio, where residents will be able to assist in television show production

“The TV studio will allow us to do live broadcasts to the entire community of events happening in the Arts and Enrichment Center,” says Community Resources Manager Craig Ellsworth. “It’s also an opportunity for better communication with our residents.”

The Red Rocks Catering Room, also on the terrace level of High Line Overlook, adds space for private parties, events, and meetings. “This is a nice feature as additional community space,” says Sales Director Jason Atwell. “I can see this getting a lot of use by our residents.”

Opposite the catering room, Burton’s Steakhouse will serve residents from all over the community. The restaurant’s name honors Wind Crest’s first resident, Clarence Burton, a beloved member of the community.

The first floor of High Line Overlook houses a third fitness center, a complement to the main fitness center in the first neighborhood as well as a second fitness center in McHenry’s Crossing residence building, which opened November 2014.

Above the Arts and Enrichment Center, the High Line Terrace Courtyard provides beautiful views of the mountains and adds an outdoor venue for parties, events, and happy hours.

“Neighborhood one holds a fun Friday night happy hour on the patio throughout the summer months. Now, there will be ideal places for neighbors to hold their happy hours and other events,” says Sales Associate Jenn Anderson.

High Line Overlook‘s new apartment homes, including 8 brand new floor plans.

“We have a variety of floor plans that fit different lifestyles and budgets,” says Sales Counselor Molly Thorne-Dhieux.

Homes in High Line Overlook feature modern fixtures: brushed nickel hardware, granite countertops, stainless steel appliance packages, and luxury vinyl plank flooring “that people have been raving about,” Atwell says.

The hardwood-like flooring resists scratches while still providing the classic, upscale look and feel of its natural counterpart.

As is common at Wind Crest, most homes in High Line Overlook feature spectacular views of the Front Range. Others face the neighboring golf course’s rolling greens. Four homes on the first floor of High Line Overlook walk out to the terrace patio with views of the High Line Canal and the Front Range.

Architect for High Line Overlook is JHP. The contractor is Brinkmann Constructors.
