Highland Springs Embarks on Independent Living Resident Building Project

Dallas, Texas--Highland Springs announced the future addition of Pecan Grove, a new independent living building currently under construction.

The Erickson Living retirement community project features 108 residences with nine fresh floor plan designs that vary in style from luxury two-bedroom to extra-large one-bedroom homes.

Pecan Grove is currently scheduled to open in the fall of 2016.  Dallas-based JHP Architecture is the project architect, and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is the general contractor.

Jennifer O’Reilly serves as the Director of Sales.  “Last spring, we welcomed residents to Willow Ridge which added 99 apartment homes to our community,” stated Ms. O’Reilly.  “Demand for the active lifestyle offered at Highland Springs continues to rise, and that is why we are so excited about this next phase of our growth.”

Underbuilding parking, an exercise studio, a restaurant and a patio dining venue are some of the new amenities to be enjoyed at Pecan Grove.

“For our residents, these features will enhance the convenience of living at Highland Springs by complementing existing services such as our health and wellness offerings,” stated Ms. O’Reilly.

A climate-controlled walkway will connect Pecan Grove to the main clubhouse of Highland Springs where two restaurants, the medical center, aquatics & fitness center, convenience store, salon and bank are located.  A continuing care neighborhood provides 96 residences offering assisted living, memory care, post-acute rehabilitation and nursing care services.
