Government Affairs Group of Highland Springs Hosts Councilwoman Greyson

Dallas, Texas—While the 2016 presidential campaign dominates the headlines, local issues interest residents of Highland Springs retirement community, too.

To stay informed, the resident-led Government Affairs Group of the Erickson Living retirement community hosted Sandy Greyson, the Dallas City Councilwoman representing District 12.

Councilwoman Greyson provided an overview of the CenturionAmerican development project on Coit Road, the status of a traffic signal on Frankford Road and an update of regional transportation issues.

Following her presentation, Councilwoman Greyson took questions from the audience of 80 residents.

Glee Pitney serves as the Secretary of the Government Affairs Group at Highland Springs.

“We appreciate the time that Councilwoman Greyson took to provide updates that impact the residents of Highland Springs,” stated Mr. Pitney.  “We enjoy keeping up with local and national issues.  As a result, in election after election, our precinct consistently has one of the top voter turnouts in the City of Dallas and Collin County.”

During last year’s election in May, Highland Springs voter participation was the second highest in Collin County and nearly tripled the average for the City of Dallas.
