Ashby Ponds Celebrates the Grand Opening of the Community's Employee Health and Wellness Center

(ASHBURN, VIRGINIA) - Adding to the many benefits that Ashby Ponds offers its employees, the Erickson Living retirement community in Ashburn, Va. celebrated the grand opening of its new Employee Health and Wellness Center on Monday, July 16. The center provides confidential sick care and well visits for full- and part-time employees, whether insured or uninsured, who are 18 years of age and older.  In addition, employees can use the center for other services including annual physicals, blood pressure checks, cholesterol and diabetes screenings, and health education. Eighteen Local High School Graduates to Receive $4000 Scholarships from Ashby Ponds Retirement Community

(ASHBURN, VIRGINIA) - At Ashby Ponds retirement community, there are nearly 100 high school students from Loudoun County, as well as Fairfax County, working for the community's dining services department.  The students work in a variety of capacities including as servers, restaurant assistants, utility workers, and service coaches.  This year, eighteen of those employees, all 2012 Loudoun County high school graduates, are recipients of $4000 scholarships. Ashby Ponds Gardeners Embark on a New Method of Gardening

(ASHBURN, VIRGINIA) - Every year in July, the Ashby Ponds Garden Club hosts an annual Garden Club Open House; this year, at the fourth annual open house, the sights will prove to be a bit unusual.  The gardens will be found in individual water troughs, 8-feet long by 3-feet wide by 2-feet tall.
