Peabody, MA – Marie Wakefield, Brooksby Village resident, has always enjoyed watching Antiques Roadshow on television. As a host at Brooksby Village’s own TV station she thought there would be potential in having a similar show.

Now 4 years and 24 shows later, they are celebrating their 25 th show!

Brooksby Village Resident Makes Quilt Featuring all 44 Presidents

Peabody, MA -- Flo Perkins, Brooksby Village resident, loves making quilts, but she wanted a challenge. After coming across an idea she saw in a book, she thought, why not make a quilt featuring all 44 U.S. Presidents.

“I have always enjoyed making quilts,” said Perkins. “Years ago before I made this one I wanted a new challenge and a quilt featuring all 44 Presidents was the answer! It took me more than a year to complete it!”

PEABODY, MA – John Daly, of Dover, NH has been promoted to Assistant Director of Dining Services at Brooksby Village.

“In this global role, John will lend support to the dining department, sharing his talents for working with all of our staff and five restaurant operations,” said Charleen Archambault, Director of Dining Services, Brooksby Village.

Daly has been with Brooksby Village for 13 years managing more than 270 students as the Staff Development Manager. His position included the recruitment, interviewing, and training of new wait-staff and their on-going development.

Two Brooksby Village Residents Unveil 16 Foot Long North Pole Village

Peabody, MA -- Joan Pappalardo began creating her Dept. 56, North Pole Village with a few pieces. Some villages were purchased, and some were gifts, but each year her village grew a little larger.

Now, 12 years later, she and her companion, John Murphy, both live at Brooksby Village in Peabody, will unveil their largest North Pole Village to date at 16 feet long and 6 and 4 feet deep.

Brooksby Village Raises $1000 for Alzheimer’s Association

Peabody, MA - Over 100 people who live and work at Brooksby Village came together to walk in the 2014 Walk To End Alzheimer’s in Andover, MA and raised over $1000.

“This is always a wonderful event and we are thrilled to be a part of it every year to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association,” said Michelle Savia, Facilities Coordinator, Brooksby Village. “It was a wonderful day.”

People who live at Brooksby Village also held their own walk onsite at the Peabody Retirement Community on a separate day to raise Alzheimer’s awareness.
