Tracie Bettano Named Director of Continuing Care at Brooksby Village

Peabody, MA -- Tracie Bettano of Topsfield, MA has been promoted to Director of Continuing Care at Brooksby Village. Bettano has over 20 years of healthcare experience in the rehabilitation area both as a speech-language pathologist and departmental leader.  She joined Brooksby Village ten years ago as part of the team who opened the Continuing Care building at Brooksby Village.  In 2005, she was promoted to a corporate role as a Director of Rehabilitation Operations.  In 2009, Bettano returned to Brooksby Village to oversee inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation and wellness.  Bettano received her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology after attending...

McNelis has been at Brooksby Village since 2007 when she was hired as the Director of Philanthropy and then named Director of Philanthropy and Communications. Former Boston Broadcaster Helping Others Quit Smoking After Cancer Diagnosis

Peabody, MA - Bob Mehrman, a former broadcaster on Boston TV and Boston radio, smoked for years.  When he finally realized smoking wasn't good for him, he quit.  Two years later he was diagnosed with cancer of the larynx due to smoking.   In 1990 he underwent a laryngectomy, the surgical removal of his voice box and now talks with an electrolarynx, the handheld device that creates vibration that allows him to speak. 

Since then, Mehrman who now lives at Brooksby Village and was a spokesperson for the Massachusetts Tobacco Control Program, has spent years educating others...

A Giant Turkey and Brooksby Village Residents Will Walk Together for Haven From Hunger

Peabody, MA - One large turkey and hundreds of people from Brooksby Village will participate in the annual Turkey Trot at Brooksby Village on Wednesday, November 20 at 11am.

Over the last few weeks, people donated canned goods and other food donations and both will be presented to Haven From Hunger before the walk at 11am.  Then walkers will walk a mile around the campus.

Local Students Working at Brooksby Village Learn Group Unity and Team Building at Local Ropes Course

Peabody, MA - A group of high school and college students who are employed as Service Coaches at Brooksby Village spent the day at Project Adventure's Outdoor Recreation Project. Erickson Living Names Todd DeLaney Associate Executive Director for Brooksby Village

Peabody, MA - Erickson Living has named Todd DeLaney as the Associate Executive Director at Brooksby Village in Peabody, MA, one of two Erickson Living developed and managed sites in the Boston area. 

Prior to being named Associate Executive Director, he was the Administrator of the Continuing Care Neighborhood at Brooksby Village, where he served in this position since 2011.
