Two Brooksby Village Residents Unveil 16 Foot Long North Pole Village

Peabody, MA -- Joan Pappalardo began creating her Dept. 56, North Pole Village with a few pieces. Some villages were purchased, and some were gifts, but each year her village grew a little larger.

Now, 12 years later, she and her companion, John Murphy, both live at Brooksby Village in Peabody, will unveil their largest North Pole Village to date at 16 feet long and 6 and 4 feet deep.

Brooksby Village Raises $1000 for Alzheimer’s Association

Peabody, MA - Over 100 people who live and work at Brooksby Village came together to walk in the 2014 Walk To End Alzheimer’s in Andover, MA and raised over $1000.

“This is always a wonderful event and we are thrilled to be a part of it every year to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association,” said Michelle Savia, Facilities Coordinator, Brooksby Village. “It was a wonderful day.”

People who live at Brooksby Village also held their own walk onsite at the Peabody Retirement Community on a separate day to raise Alzheimer’s awareness.


Brooksby Village & North Shore Community College Recognized at Event in Boston

BOSTON, MA – English for New Bostonians (ENB), and its English Works Campaign, held the event “Raising Our Voices: Recognizing ESOL Leadership in Business and the Community” to honor 20 businesses and labor management partnerships that have joined together with government and the non-profit sector to offer their immigrant workers the chance to learn English. People who live and work at Brooksby Village will celebrate the 4 th of July with a parade featuring Mayor Edward Bettencourt, State Rep Leah Cole, Peabody Cheerleaders, McGruff the Crime Dog and more Friday, June 27 at 11am.

Peabody, MA - The Afghan Group at Brooksby Village knit all year round to help local shelters.  Most recently they have been working with Transitions at Devens and HAWC in Salem.
