POMPTON PLAINS, NJ - The Cedar Crest retirement community is truly living up to New Jersey's nickname the "Garden State." Members of the community's Dining Services department have begun growing fresh herbs and spices to be used in the freshly prepared food for the meals prepared for the community's 2,000 residents. Tomorrow, Thursday, July 24th at 11 a.m. , staff and some residents will begin planting another garden bed. Cedar Crest Residents Donate Pet Supplies/Food to Pequannock Animal Shelter

POMPTON PLAINS, NJ - Since the beginning of April, Cedar Crest residents have been collecting pet supplies for the Pequannock Animal Shelter, including food, treats, blankets and towels. Earlier today, representatives from the shelter collected the items and brought along some friends for the visit. Residents donated more than 100 items, including pet food, treats, toys, sheets and blankets for the shelter.
