More than 200 People Attend Charlestown's Spring Sales EXPO

CATONSVILLE ,MD (March 14 2014) - A total of 246 guests attended Charlestown retirement community's Spring Sales EXPO held March 14 throughout the 110-acre Catonsville campus. Attendees came from all parts of Maryland. Nine families reserved their apartment homes as a result of the event.  Fifteen additional families took the opportunity to sign up for the Charlestown Priority List, showing their interest in calling the community their home sometime in the future.  Many more guests requested follow-up appointments.

February 28 Winter Putter Land to Raise Money for Charlestown's Benevolent Care Fund

WHAT: A Winter Putter Land indoor miniature golf tournament in Catonsville, MD, to raise money for Charlestown retirement community's Benevolent Care Fund. Nearly 100 people of all ages - Charlestown residents, staff and their families, as well as the general public -- will play on a full 18-hole course designed built by members of Charlestown's woodshop  The entire course is outlined with 100 two-by-fours. Volunteers sawed, sanded, hammered, and painted obstacles for the course. CATONSVILLE, MD (January 27, 2014) --  Morgan State University's WEAA 88.9 FM radio station has named  Ricardo Ramsey, a Gatehouse Security Officer for Charlestown retirement community, its 2014 "Volunteer of the Year." The award recognizes the year-round support Ramsey gives to the radio station by volunteering during membership fundraisers and by helping with various community initiatives the station is involved with such as toy and clothing drives. Charlestown Marks a 20 Percent Increase in Apartment Home Settlements in 2013

CATONSVILLE, MD (January 27, 2014) - Charlestown retirement  community marked a 20 percent increase in apartment home settlements  in 2013,  a year that saw more than 300 people moving into the community. A total of 211 apartments was settled during the year with 276 people joining the Priority List, an increase of 8 percent over the prior year. CATONSVILLE, MD (January 14, 2014)  - Charlestown resident Emma Schramm grew up on her family's 237-acre Schramm Farm on Mountain Road in Ann Arundel County, MD. She later tended to the farm's roadside stand on weekends during the years when she taught at Jacobsville Elementary School. Farm workers picked a wide array of fruits and vegetables in the fields each day.
