Charlestown Physical Therapist Heidi Smith Now Training for U.S. Championship Triathlon

CATONSVILLE, MD (August 13, 2013) - Heidi Smith, MSPT, a physical therapist for Charlestown retirement community, is now training to compete in The Hy-Vee 5150 U.S. Championship Triathlon,  one of the world's premier events for professional and amateur triathletes. This triathlon, which will be held September 2 at Gray's Lake in Des Moines, Iowa, is for athletes worldwide who meet the qualifying standards at a 5150 event. Charlestown Marks 21 Percent Increase in Apartment Home Settlements for First Half of 2013

 CATONSVILLE, MD (August 6, 2013) -- Charlestown retirement community marked a 21 percent increase in settlements of apartment homes for the first half of 2013. A total of 121 apartment homes were settled in the first half of 2013, compared to 100 for the same period the prior year. A key factor in helping people move to Charlestown was the in-house realty services program that connected prospective residents with movers, real estate agents and move-in officials to make the selling of a home, and the logistics management that go along with it, as easy as possible.

Charlestown Donates 436 Items of Furniture/Appliances Year-to-Date to Habitat for Humanity

CATONSVILLE, MD (June 10, 2013) - Charlestown retirement community has donated hundreds of pieces of furniture, appliances and other household items year-to-date to the nonprofit homebuilder Habitat for Humanity in Halethorpe, Maryland. The donation resulted from Charlestown's ongoing modernization of its apartment homes, replacing everything from doors to dishwashers in an effort to provide its residents with the best possible living conditions. CATONSVILLE, MD  (June 4, 2013) --  Charlestown retirement community residents will compete tomorrow, June 5,  at Fairfield Athletic and Aquatics Center Field in Laurel, MD, in Erickson Living's  Annual Resident Softball Tournament.
