36 student employees receive scholarships at 31 st Annual Scholars’ Ceremony

Catonsville, Md. – June 4, 2019 – Charlestown , a continuing care retirement community managed by Erickson Living , recently awarded 36 of its student employees with the Charlestown Scholarship Award. A special ceremony was held at the community on May 16 to recognize and celebrate the Scholars’ achievements.

The Charlestown Scholarship Award provides recipients with up to $2,000 annually for four years, a total of $8,000, to help offset academic tuition expenses at their college or university....

Catonsville, Md. – May 31, 2019 – Charlestown , a continuing care retirement community managed by Erickson Living, hosted its first Inter-Community Cornhole Tournament against sister community Oak Crest on Thursday, May 30, 2019. Charlestown Model Railroad Welcomes Record Number of Visitors in 2018

The numbers are in, and Charlestown, an Erickson Living retirement community, is pleased to announce that it welcomed a record number of visitors to its Model Railroad during 2018.

Last year, more than 2,190 visitors visited the Model Railroad, located in The Chuck Anders Train Room along Charlestown’s “Main Street. These guests included 1,342 members of the Charlestown community and nearly 850 outside visitors.

Charlestown Residents Contribute $256,000 to Hourly Staff for a Job Well Done

The holiday season just got a little brighter for more than 1000 hourly employees at Charlestown .

Whether serving a meal in one of the seven restaurants or maintaining the scenic 110-acre campus, hourly staff work hard to enhance the vibrant retirement lifestyle of Charlestown residents all year long. Now, their service and dedication are being recognized through the community’s Staff Appreciation Fund.

A total of $256,000 was raised from resident contributions. 1,030 eligible hourly employees received distributions from the fund, less taxes, from Charlestown residents at scheduled times and locations across the community on...
