More than 200 community members attend ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony
Catonsville, Md. – Charlestown, a continuing care retirement community developed and managed by Erickson Living, recently celebrated the grand re-opening of the John Erickson Conference Center, a popular gathering place on the community's scenic 110-acre campus.
On July 12, 2019, the community rededicated the Conference Center with a ribbon-cutting and reception for more than 200 residents, staff and guests in attendance. Welcoming remarks were made by Nathan Blumberg, Charlestown's Associate Executive Director, followed by the Dedication from Sherry Parrish, Director of Resident Life.
The ribbon was cut by a multi-faceted team representing all who played a role in enhancing the updated Conference Center, including members of the Charlestown team, the community's design and build partners and resident leaders.
"Kudos to all who contributed their unique talents to create this incredible space," said Blumberg. "The new John Erickson Conference Center is beautiful, up-to-date and will be the site for many large and important gatherings for residents, staff as well as external activities. We look forward to enjoying those events as a community for many years to come!"
