Charlestown Girl Scouts Forever Honor Scouting Founder Juliette Gordon Low

CATONSVILLE, MD (October 29, 2016) -- Members of Charlestown retirement community's Girl Scouts Forever group today made a ceremonial campfire to celebrate the birthday of Girl Scouts of America founder Juliette Gordon Low (1860-1927).

 

Participating were Cynthia Garner, GSCM Troop 496; Shirley Parker, a 60-year member of the Girl Scouts Council of New York; Marie Garner, GSCM Troop 496; Theresa Spliedt, GSCM Troop 496; and Elaine Jenks, Girl Scouts of the Nation's Capital.

 

They are dedicated to Girl Scouting, which builds girls of courage and character who make the world a better place.
