Important Communications

COVID-19 symptoms can range from mild cold-like symptoms, like chills, sore throat, sniffles, sneezing, and body aches, to more severe flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough, and difficulty breathing. If you experience any symptoms, do not come to work, and call the Employee Hotline immediately at 410-402-9572. It’s important to also talk with your primary care physician, who can help you understand the difference between COVID-19, the flu, the common cold, allergies, and other illnesses, as well as recommend the best course of action.
The COVID-19 All Employee Newsletter was developed to help keep community and corporate employees updated on recent developments, new business practices, and important resources and information related to Erickson Living’s response to COVID-19. It is delivered to the inbox of all employees on Fridays, printed and shared with employees who may not have easy access to email, and available for download below.

While all employees play important roles in supporting residents and employees, certain positions have a direct impact on the well-being of independent living and continuing care residents and are considered essential during this critical time. If you are not sure whether your position is considered “essential,” please contact your supervisor for clarification.

As a reminder, all community employees are considered essential. Our communities are home to more than 27,000 senior residents who require care and services 24/7. If your state has enacted mandates that allow only essential employees to report to work, please contact your manager or Human Resources department for a letter that you will need to carry with you as you commute to and from work. You will need to show this letter if you are stopped by local law enforcement.

Essential corporate employees who are providing the ongoing operational support at the corporate offices for the communities, please talk to your supervisor about the letter you should keep with you when traveling to and from work. Other corporate employees, please discuss remote work options with your supervisor in accordance with state-mandated social distancing orders.
