Meet the Eagle’s Trace Leadership Team

Get to know the executive team that governs our community.

Steve Aigner, Executive Director

Steve Aigner is currently serving as the executive director at Eagle's Trace, having joined the community in 2014 as the associate executive director. Previously, he has served at several other Erickson Living communities, including Greenspring in Springfield, Virginia, and Ashby Ponds in Ashburn, Virginia. Prior to joining Erickson Living, Steve was an assistant general manager and restaurant manager in the Washington, D.C., area. He received a B.A. from George Mason University and holds numerous restaurant industry certifications.

Michael Friedel, Associate Executive Director

Michael Friedel joined Eagle's Trace in October 2014 and was promoted to associate executive director in 2017. He began his Erickson Living career in 2011 at Oak Crest, our community in Baltimore, Maryland, where he first served as assisted living manager and was later promoted to director of continuing care. Prior to Oak Crest, Michael served as a nursing home administrator in Pennsylvania and as executive director of an assisted living facility in Delaware. He is currently licensed as a nursing home administrator in Texas, Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. 

Joshua Chang, Finance Director

Before joining Eagle’s Trace in 2018, Joshua spent ten years at Hewlett Packard serving in several financial leadership roles. While at Hewlett Packard, he supported multiple business segments, developing three-year operating plans as well as providing the financial reporting and analysis that enabled the business teams to achieve their operating targets. Prior to Hewlett Packard, Joshua spent ten years in consulting with various big-five consulting firms focusing on SAP implementations. He is a C.P.A., P.M.P. (certified project management professional), and received his master’s in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.

Pamela Burgeson, Director of Sales and Marketing

Joining Eagle’s Trace in June 2005, Pamela brought 20 years’ experience in both operations and sales leadership to the Eagle’s Trace team. Her background includes lodging, investment, and senior services. She worked 12 years specifically in the senior living industry. Pamela has provided regional sales development and supervision as well as successful community start-up and sales training. She has been recognized with top sales awards by Merrill Lynch, Marriott Senior Living Services, Sunrise Senior Living, and in 2006 received the Sales Leadership Award from Erickson Living. Pamela received her bachelor of arts from Baylor University of Texas.

Vickie Antoine, Director of Human Resources

Vickie joined Eagle’s Trace in May 2007 upon returning to her Texas roots after residing and working in Michigan for over 15 years with Grand Rapids Controls Inc. and Kendall College of Art and Design. Human resources management has been Vickie’s calling with over 20 years of related experience. Her passion within the field lies in the organizational and employee-development areas. Vickie has served in several positions on various boards. Vickie’s experience crosses various industries including health care, manufacturing, and post secondary education. Vickie is currently pursuing her master's degree in human resources management.

Brian Tremaine, M.D., Medical Director

Dr. Tremaine joined the Erickson Health Medical Group in November 2011. He brings to Eagle’s Trace over 12 years of internal medicine and geriatric experience. Dr. Tremaine’s most recent tenure was as diabetes clinical physician with Diabetes America in Sugar Land, Texas. Dr. Tremaine received his medical training at the University of California, San Diego. He completed his internal residency and geriatric fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Michael McKissak, General Services Director

Michael attended Columbia Southern University and began his professional career working in industrial mechanical and instrumentation engineering. He has worked on several high visibility projects within the United States including St. Jude’s Medical Research Center in Memphis, Tennessee, and the U.S. Federal Complex in Forrest City, Arkansas. Michael also took on international assignments abroad in dining operations, base installation and construction, operations and maintenance, and a host other ancillary services. Michael has provided volunteer support to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital Diversity and Integration Council and acted as an ambassador for Wounded Warriors of America.

Ruben Perez, Dining Services Director

Ruben joined the Eagle’s Trace team in September 2016 and brings more than 20 years in the hospitality industry to his position as dining services director. He oversees dining operations in both independent living and continuing care. After moving to Texas, Ruben served as the director of food and beverage at St. Luke’s in the medical center and The Woodlands. He started his career as a chef in California where he worked at the Four Seasons Hotel, Cheesecake Factory restaurant, and many health care facilities. He received his culinary management degree from the California Culinary Academy.

Kristin Malejan, Resident Life Director

Kristin started working at Eagle’s Trace in 2006 and was the resident services coordinator until 2009. She left the community to serve as the director of resident and family services at a memory care facility in the Houston area. Kristin returned to Eagle’s Trace in 2012 and was a social worker until she was promoted to resident life manager in 2013. In 2017, she was promoted again, this time to resident life director. Kristin is a licensed master social worker with more than 11 years of experience in the senior industry. She holds a bachelor of science degree in social work from Texas Christian University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Houston.

Latasha Jones, Nursing Home Administrator

Latasha joined Eagle's Trace in May 2015 as the assisted living and memory care manager and was promoted to nursing home administrator in 2017. A seasoned health care professional, Latasha held positions as a director of social services and assistant executive director before beginning her career at our community. She received her bachelor of social work degree from Texas Woman's University and her master of social work degree from Texas A&M University. Latasha is a licensed social worker and nursing home administrator.
