Houston, Texas— Residents and guests of Eagle’s Trace can attest to the saying that “shared dining fortifies us” following a unique event held at the Erickson Living retirement community on July 28.

Four residents opened their apartments as gracious hosts to six Priority List Members and two guests for a progressive dining experience. Each home served as a private venue to one course of a special four-course feast prepared by Executive Chef Donald Mutin, Sr. and the culinary professionals of Eagle’s Trace. Guests spent about 45 minutes at each location before moving to the next apartment.

Houston, Texas— Judy Doba traces her passion for gardening directly to her mother.

“Farming was predominant on my Mom’s side of the family,” described Judy. “Growing up in Missouri allowed me to be part of that culture and gave me a love for the land.”

Judy would eventually settle in Texas with her husband Raymond, where they raised a family in northwest Houston. Their backyard was a joyful haven for butterflies and hummingbirds as Judy planted a plethora of native plants such as Mexican milkweeds to attract them.

Houston, Texas— Graduation season commemorates the achievements of thousands of high school and college students in the Houston area.

On June 11, residents of Eagle’s Trace celebrated not only the success of eight students employed at the Erickson Living retirement community but also the special bonds created between generations.

These local students, employed in the Dining Services Department of Eagle’s Trace, earned four-year collegiate scholarships. The value of these awards is $1,000 per semester during their freshman and sophomore years and $1,500 per semester during their junior and senior years for a total of $10,000 per student....

Houston, Texas— Eagle’s Trace retirement community announced the promotion of Latasha Jones to Director of Continuing Care.

Mrs. Jones brings seven years of senior living experience to her new leadership position. She began her career at Eagle’s Trace in 2015 as Assisted Living and Memory Care Manager before a promotion to Assistant Administrator in July, 2016. Previously, she served as an Assistant Executive Director and a Director of Social Services at two health care facilities in Dallas.

Friedel joined Eagle's Trace in October 2014 to serve as its Director of Continuing Care. He began his career with Erickson Living in 2011 at Oak Crest, a sister community in Baltimore, Maryland, where he first served as Assisted Living Manager and was later promoted to Director of Continuing Care. Houston, Texas-- When they dip their snacks during an Astros game or make their grandkids a lunchtime sandwich, twenty-two residents and employees of Eagle’s Trace will have a new appreciation for peanut butter.

On March 23, the group from the Erickson Living retirement community traveled to the Houston Peanut Butter Cannery of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints in Houston. There, they donated a four-hour shift under the watchful eye of the Church’s experienced staff.
