A Banner Year as Eagle’s Trace Prepares for Growth in 2016

As the holidays approach, residents of Eagle’s Trace will fondly remember 2015 as a milestone year.

In October, the Erickson Living retirement community celebrated its tenth anniversary with three days of fellowship, delicious food and family-friendly events.

That same month, Eagle’s Trace announced expansion in the form of Amarillo Terrace, an independent living building currently under construction.  It will feature 108 new residences with open floor plan designs and fresh amenities.

Before turning the page to 2016, Pamela Burgeson, Director of Sales, reflected on a highly successful year.

“We are proud to say that sixty new individuals called Eagle’s Trace home through October.  These folks are now enjoying the broad spectrum of services, health & wellness programs and maintenance-free living that we offer,” said Ms. Burgeson.  “But more importantly, they are making new friends and getting involved in an array of resident-led activities.”

Ms. Burgeson also noted that the pipeline into Eagle’s Trace is strong.

“We are very excited to welcome the new members to our Priority List because they are beginning to experience retirement the way it was meant to be,” stated Ms. Burgeson.  “They enjoy access to special events, participate in our ‘Live the Life’ program and, notably, are next in line when residences become available.”

In 2015, those Priority List members participated in a series of fun events at Eagle’s Trace, including the memorable circus-themed cocktail party during the 10th anniversary festivities.

And for over ten years, the folks who call Eagle’s Trace home have pursued their passions, living each day to the fullest.

This year has been no exception.

Dozens of residents participated in the good work performed by the Community Outreach Committee.  Their reach extends in the Houston-area and beyond, sharing their time and talent to benefit children and families in need.

Five residents received statewide honors in an annual competition sponsored by LeadingAge Texas for their artistic and creative skills.

They also took the initiative to honor veterans, create new ways to be good stewards of the environment and engage with their elected officials.

“Our residents truly share their gifts to create a community that celebrates life,” said Ms. Burgeson.  “I’d urge people to set their own course and learn more about what Eagle’s Trace has to offer in 2016.”
