Eagle’s Trace Ranks Near Top of Best Companies to Work For in Texas for 2016

Houston, Texas—Eagle’s Trace, the Erickson Living retirement community, was named #21 for the Best Companies to Work for in Texas rankings in the large employee category (500+).

One hundred workplaces made the final list of the 2016 Best Companies to Work for in Texas.  The official results were revealed at an awards dinner & celebration on March 29 in Austin.

The survey is designed to identify and honor the best places of employment in Texas that benefit the state's economy, workforce and business environment.  The awards program is a project of Texas Monthly, Texas Association of Business (TAB), Texas Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and Best Companies Group.

“Last year, we commemorated the tenth anniversary of Eagle’s Trace by celebrating the people who guide our mission and values.  Now, this recognition confirms what has been occurring here since day one,” described Stephen Aigner, Executive Director.  “Serving the residents and their families is the number one priority for our employees, and we do it with a mission-centered culture that fosters inclusion and celebrates life.”

Vickie Antoine is the Human Resources Director.  She has been with Eagle’s Trace since 2007.

“We are blessed and honored to be in a position to enrich the lives of our residents,” said Ms. Antoine.  “But I’ve also heard from more than one employee that being here helps them to ‘live a better life’ too.  Whether it’s providing tuition reimbursement for a CNA striving to become an RN or simply providing a mentor for a young dining server, we are committed to a one-team culture.”

“As our infrastructure has grown, opportunities for career development and advancement have increased as well,” she said.  “I am proud to say that we offered more than 3,500 hours of training for our employees last year.  Many of these sessions were tailored from their specific suggestions on what would help them succeed.”

Eagle’s Trace is a non-profit continuing care retirement community located on a 70-acre campus in West Houston.  Its 675 residents are served by a total workforce of more than 425 full- and part-time employees.

Construction is currently underway on a new independent living building to meet the demand for the amenities and lifestyle uniquely offered by Eagle’s Trace and enjoyed by its residents.  In 2013, the community opened its extended care neighborhood that features 112 spacious suites/residences, including assisted living, memory care, post-acute rehabilitation and nursing care services.
