Eagle’s Trace Opens New Independent Living Residence

Houston, Texas—Meeting the demand for its senior living lifestyle and amenities, Eagle’s Trace expanded its 70-acre campus with the addition of a new independent living resident building.

Named Amarillo Terrace, the project features 108 residences with fresh floor plans highlighting open-concept designs.  Amenities include stainless steel appliances and granite countertops; screened-in porches and patios are options for a number of the residences.

Residents of the Erickson Living retirement community began moving into Amarillo Terrace in early November.  They have access to a new media room, fitness center and additional meeting space.

Pamela Burgeson is the Director of Sales.  “The opening of Amarillo Terrace is a testament to the demand for the active lifestyle and amenities our residents enjoy, the convenience of our on-site health & wellness offerings and our ideal location in West Houston,” stated Ms. Burgeson.

“We are so proud of the level of detail that went into the final product.  The floor plan designs of Amarillo Terrace are based on thorough customer feedback.  Because of that personal touch, these new homes are reserving quickly,” she noted.

A major component of the project is the upscale restaurant featuring a spacious dining room, a lounge for happy hours and outdoor patio dining.

“With the year-round mild climate of Houston, our campus has always been a unique selling point of Eagle’s Trace,” noted Ms. Burgeson.  “Residents like the scenery of our landscaping and lakeside living within a safe environment.  Al fresco dining only adds to that small-town experience.”

Amarillo Terrace is connected by a climate controlled walkway to the main clubhouse of Eagle’s Trace that houses services such as the medical center, convenience store, salon and bank.  Additionally, the continuing care neighborhood provides 112 residences offering assisted living, memory care, post-acute rehabilitation and nursing care services.

Texas-based JHP Architecture served as the project architect; Whiting Turner is the general contractor.
