Eagle’s Trace Named One of the Healthiest Employers by Houston Business Journal

Houston, Texas--Eagle’s Trace was named #6 in the small business category for the 2018 Healthiest Employer & Health Care Heroes Awards sponsored by the Houston Business Journal.  The rankings were revealed at an awards breakfast on May 17 at the Hilton Houston Post Oak.

Companies were assessed in six key categories that included culture & leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication & marketing, programming and interventions & reporting.  A third-party, Healthiest Employers, LLC of Indiana, administered the survey to create a ranking of companies in the Houston area that best create and implement employee wellness programs.

“For residents and employees, promoting health and wellness is an integral part of our culture.  We are proud of the programs that we have established to highlight the importance of a healthy lifestyle.  Every little step helps, and it’s rewarding to see our employees embrace it,” stated Stephen Aigner, Executive Director.  “On behalf of Eagle’s Trace, I would like to thank the Houston Business Journal for spotlighting this important aspect of the work experience and acknowledging companies in Houston that perform well.”

Vickie Antoine, Director of Human Resources, noted the robust complement of activities geared to health and wellness.  These include the employee wellness fund, access to the on-site medical center, activities such as the annual walking challenge & health fair, free flu shots and discounts to national programs such as Weight Watchers and smoking cessation.

“Studies show that many health risks are preventable with improved lifestyle choices and that a strong workplace culture can influence individuals to become more aware of their overall wellness,” noted Ms. Antoine.  “We are proud that many of our employees have taken advantage of the incentives that Eagle’s Trace offers; it’s truly a win-win proposition for everyone.”

Eagle’s Trace employs more than 500 full and part-time employees at its campus in West Houston.  More information about rewarding career opportunities in senior living can be found at https://jobs.ericksonliving.com.
