NOVI, MI (August 13, 2015) -- A celebratory dinner was held Monday, August 10, for Fox Run retirement community staff who have achieved 10, 15 and 20 years of service. Combined, these employees (seen in attached photo) have 215 years of service.
10 Years: Rebecca Bowles, Bethany Brieden, Nicole Mansfield, Brandy Knudson, Bill Mitton, Armand Pirgu, Ray Rivera, Calvin Butler IV, Kevin Cunningham, Corrine Schwanik, Rojxhi Tuxhari, and Lindsay Ash.

NOVI, MI (August 4, 2015) – Celebrating diversity takes many different forms at Fox Run, and the retirement community’s Unity in the Community group members work to make their ongoing events, many of which involve cultural exchange, informative and fun.
The resident-run group’s mission is to cultivate an environment where all embrace, accept, value, and celebrate the unique qualities of each individual. NOVI, MI (July 8, 2015) – Residents and staff of Fox Run celebrated the retirement community’s 12 th anniversary with a special June 30 Happy Hour at each of the two clubhouses. On this same day Edgewater, the new 94-apartment home residence building which is completely sold out, opened .
“Today is a wonderful day to pause and reflect on the 12 years we have shared together in building this wonderful community and at the same time celebrate the continued growth of our campus with our newest building,” said Fox Run Executive Director Mike McCormick.

NOVI, MI (July 6, 2015) – Fox Run retirement community has expanded the memory care services available in Rose Court, its continuing care neighborhood. The neighborhood has been repurposed as a designated memory care living space with 22 private rooms.
Some cosmetic changes have been made to accommodate residents, including more welcoming resident rooms, way-finding clues, and memory care stations.
The new dedicated memory care wing will enable the community to better serve residents and their families, according to Fox Run officials. Fox Run previously offered memory care services through the Erickson Virtual Memory Care product.

NOVI, MI (June 17, 2015) – Fox Run retirement community has celebrated the 36-member Class of 2015 Student Scholars at a recent Award Ceremony. The student workers earned four-year collegiate scholarships from the $360,000 raised by residents.
In the previous 11 years, the Fox Run Scholars Program has raised $930,000 assisting 163 students to advance their collegiate careers.

NOVI, MI (June 8, 2015) – Nearly 200 Fox Run retirement community residents participated May 27 in the annual National Senior Health and Fitness Day, the theme of which was “Stay Active.”
During the day-long event all residents were encouraged to try-out 11 different class offerings including Tai Chi, yoga, meditation, water aerobics and water volleyball, Jazzercise, Exercise 4 Movement, Wii Bowling, Mind and Muscle and Arthritis Foundation Exercise classes.

NOVI, MI (May 29, 2015) -- Members of Fox Run’s resident-run Political Awareness Committee, and guests, this month spent a day in Lansing, MI, as guests of State Senator Mike Kowall, who presented them with a Michigan flag that will be flown at the retirement community’s campus.
They were introduced in the Senate session and had lunch in the Senator Kowall’s office. They met with State Representative Kathy Crawford and were Introduced on House floor.

NOVI, MI (May 11, 2015) – Fox Run retirement community has named its 2015 WOW Award recipients. The annual WOW awards honor outstanding department and staff work performance.
This is Fox Run’s version of the Academy Awards and is marked by a luncheon with entertainment and a recognition ceremony.

NOVI, MI (April 22, 2015) -- Jamie Flowers, Fox Run retirement community’s Pastoral Ministries Coordinator, is travelling to Ndola, Zambia, as part of a mission trip with Living Hope International to help care for orphaned children and to train and encourage housemothers. He and his wife and daughter will join19 people in Zambia in June.
Living Hope International is a non-profit organization that now cares for 31 children in Zambia. It was formed as a result of summer trips taken by members of Oak Pointe Church in Novi.
