Growing From Within: Dining Careers Take Shape at Fox Run

NOVI, MI (May 5, 2014) -- Fox Run retirement community's dining services department provides jobs to dozens of local high school students. Many of the students work as servers in the community's four on-site restaurants, which serve 1,000 meals to residents and employees every day. Fox Run has promoted five former student servers to management positions within the dining services department. Grandfathers Build a Grandfather Clock to Benefit Fox Run's Benevolent Care

NOVI, MI (April 16, 2014) - Eight grandfathers are now building a vintage grandfather clock at Fox Run retirement community to benefit the community's Benevolent Care Fund. They have been working on the grandfather clock in the community's Hobby Shop for the past month and hope to complete it by May 1. The grandfather clock weighs 75 pounds and is 81 inches high, 28 inches wide and 16 inches deep. It is made of cherry wood and will have a medium brown finish. Public Invited to Attend Monthly Parkinson Support Group Meetings at Fox Run

NOVI, MI (March 21, 2014) - The public is invited to attend Parkinson Support Group meetings that are held the first Tuesday of each month at Fox Run retirement community, 41000 Thirteen Mile Road in Novi, MI. Fox Run Residents Now Making Model Railroad of Novi's Pere Marquette Line (circa 1950)

NOVI, MI (March 1, 2014) - Members of Fox Run retirement community's model railroad club in Novi, MI,  are now constructing a miniature replica of the Pere Marquette railroad line (circa June 1950) that still runs through Novi on the same tracks originally laid in about 1875. The club is also making models of Novi buildings from that year. They have mapped out different cities in the area such as Plymouth and Milford and have researched photographs of that era to assure accuracy in design. Fox Run Partners with Walled Lake Continuing Education

NOVI, MI (February 12, 2014) -- Fox Run retirement community in Novi is now partnering with Walled Lake Continuing Education to provide enrichment classes to its residents. There are three different courses being offered: Spanish, Beginner Computer Classes and Intermediate Computer Classes. The class schedules are as follows: Beginning Spanish: Every Monday for eight weeks. Beginner Computer Class (held in the Ascot computer lab): Every Saturday for eight weeks. Fox Run Volunteer Makes, Gives Models to Honor Military Veterans

NOVI, MI (February 6, 2014) - Sean Tracy, a volunteer at Fox Run retirement community, is honoring veterans in a unique way: by building and giving models to veterans of the airplanes, tanks or ships for which they were associated during their military service. He has been working on the Veterans Model Project for the past four years and has already built more than 150 models. He wants to build and give a free model to every veteran who wants one. NOVI, MI (February 3, 2014) - Fox Run retirement community marked record occupancy in 2013 with 99 percent billed occupancy attained, an increase of 6.4 percent over the prior year. In addition, a total of 595 people were members of the Priority List in 2013, an increase of 25 percent over the prior year. NOVI, MI (December 24, 2013) --  Erica Patterson, Director of Nursing for Fox Run, has been named the retirement community's 2013 Leader of the Year. Fox Run Scores Highest Industry Percentile in 2013 Resident Satisfaction Survey

NOVI, MI (December 19, 2013) -- Fox Run retirement community today reported it did exceptionally well in its  2013 Resident Satisfaction Survey. The overall mean in independent living  increased from 87.7% to 89.7% . This marked Fox Run's highest score ever and put it in in the 90 th percentile in the national senior housing industry.  .
