Novi, Mich. Senior Living Community Adds 10th New Residence Building

NOVI, MI. (August 6, 2018) – With great excitement, Edison Place, the newest independent living building opened last week at Fox Run, a senior living community developed and managed by Erickson Living.

"We are thrilled to welcome Fox Run's newest residents to Edison Place," said Allison Murphy, Director of Sales at Fox Run. "The response to this building, which pays homage to The Boston-Edison Historic District, has been incredible. With such a hot local housing market, apartment homes have reserved quickly. We're pleased to be able to meet the growing demand for Fox Run's unique amenities and vibrant lifestyle."

Home values in Fox Run's primary market area have increased 15 percent over the last three years, making this a terrific time for folks to sell their homes at top value and move into apartment homes like those in Edison Place. Additionally, as the campus has become richer in traditions and activities, more and more seniors have decided that waiting to move to Fox Run is no longer an option. Nearly 50 percent of the apartment homes in Edison Place have already been sold.

The building features 96 units with a mix of 16 different floor plans, including a combination of one-bedroom, one-bedroom with den, two-bedroom, and two-bedroom with den apartments. These maintenance-free designs, many of which are sold out elsewhere on Fox Run's campus, boast high-end features and finishes, including open layouts, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.

"Many of our new residents have been taking advantage of this unique opportunity to incorporate custom interiors into their new apartment homes," explained Murphy. "Working with our professional customs interiors coordinator to choose from a selection of stylish flooring, paint, custom closet and window covering solutions, they are able to really personalize these beautiful new spaces."

In addition to brand-new apartment homes, residents can enjoy Kern's Corner, a 1,100 square foot residential lounge with wet bar, kitchenette, comfortable seating and communal tables for gathering with new neighbors and friends. This special location to enjoy neighbors is named to pay homage to the iconic Kern's Clock in downtown Detroit. To pay further tribute to one of the country's most notable clocks and landmark where people often uttered the phrase "We'll meet under the Kern's Clock," residents in Fox Run's woodshop are planning to craft a replica clock to play in Kern's Corner.

Edison Place also offers residents a complimentary shuttle service that will pick them up right at their front door and take them to any of the three clubhouses and other on-campus amenities.

The project architect is Lantz-Boggio Architects and Brinkmann Constructors served as the general contractor.

This summer marks the 15th anniversary for Fox Run.
