Meet the Greenspring Executive Leadership Team

Chandra joined the Greenspring team in June of 2016 after serving as associate executive director at Riderwood in Silver Spring, Maryland. Chandra has over 20 years of experience in the senior living industry. Previously, she served as administrator for Friends House retirement community, as well as vice president for Amertel Communication. She also served as health care administrator and assisted living manager for Marriott Senior Living Services and its successor, Sunrise Senior Living. Chandra is the national cultural secretary for the Rajput Association of North America and past president of its DMV Chapter. She holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an M.A. in management of aging services from the Erickson School of Aging at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Since 2013, Brian Marandola has served as the director of dining services at Greenspring. He brings over 30 years' experience in the hospitality industry working for both corporate and independent organizations. Over the past 19 years, Brian has held director-level positions at both Marriott International and Disney. Prior to joining Greenspring, he was the acting director of food and beverage at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor, Maryland. Mr. Marandola holds an associate's degree in business from Dawson College in Montreal, Canada.
Eric joined the Greenspring team in January 2013, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has led sales and marketing teams in a variety of hotels, resorts, and conference centers including 19 years with Benchmark Hospitality and 5 years with ARAMARK Corporation. He also served as a board member of the International Association of Conference Centers. Eric holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota.
Ron brings to Greenspring 28 years of financial operations experience from various industries, including health care, telecommunications, and management consulting. He has spent the last 15 years consulting for PricewaterhouseCoopers and CBRE, where he has led global transformation efforts by implementing process improvement initiatives, as well as creating sustainable financial operating groups for multiple hospital systems throughout the United States. Ron earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Oakwood University and a master’s degree from Regis University. He is the past finance chair of the Prince George’s Community College’s Foundation Board and currently serves on several community service boards throughout Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
Dr. Bethel received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, and her medical degree from the University of Florida, College of Medicine, in Gainesville, Florida in 1982. She completed an internship and residency in family practice at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Bethel is board-certified in family medicine and has active recertification status. She earned the certified medical director qualification from the American Medical Directors Association in December 2012. Dr. Bethel joined Greenspring in May 2007, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the practice of medicine.
Before joining Greenspring, Ty served as the area director of operations in the higher education division of Aramark, a national food service provider. While he has more than 21 years of food and beverage experience in all sectors of the hospitality industry, including hotels and restaurants, health care, country clubs, and government and contract management, he began his career working at a continuing care retirement community in the New England area. Ty is a certified food safety professional and, previously, a certified executive chef. He is a member of the James Beard Foundation and the American Culinary Federation, and holds an A.A.S. in culinary arts, a B.S. in culinary nutrition, an M.B.A. in international business, and an M.S. in project management and supply chain management.
Lynn Keefe served as the associate executive director at Greenspring from 2011 to 2014. She has nearly 25 years of progressive experience working with nonprofits. Before joining Greenspring, Lynn had been the regional director of financial development at the American Red Cross in the National Capital Region. Prior to that position, Lynn served as the chief executive officer of the Arlington County Chapter of the American Red Cross from 2000 to 2009, as senior associate of chapter operations at the American Red Cross National Headquarters from 1997 to 2000, as director of programs and services of the Arlington County Chapter of the American Red Cross from 1993 to 1997, and as director of the Ottawa County District at the American Red Cross Greater Toledo Area Chapter from 1991 to 1993. Lynn received a bachelor’s degree in consumer economics from Ohio State University.
Kimberly has over 25 years of experience in the senior health care industry. Prior to joining the Greenspring team in 2002, Kimberly worked for Marriott International Senior Living Services, HCR-Manor Care, and Inova. She is a certified activity consultant and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Association for HealthCare Philanthropy, and the National Committee on Planned Giving. She earned her B.A. in sociology with a concentration in gerontology from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
George Rallis joined the Greenspring team as director of continuing care in June 2016. He has been a licensed nursing home administrator working in North Carolina since 2009. During his career as an administrator, George has successfully led initiatives in culture change and improving customer satisfaction in both skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. He has considerable experience engaging staff, clinicians, physicians, and other health care partners in quality assurance performance improvement efforts. George earned his bachelor of science degree from North Carolina State University and received his nursing home administrator license from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
