(Springfield, Va.) - Since 2005, Greenspring retirement community in Springfield, Va. has presented President’s Volunteer Service Awards to residents and non-residents who volunteer both at Greenspring and with Greenspring-related service activities in the greater community. Guest judges sampled more than one dozen chili recipes during the ‘heated’ competition

(Springfield, Va.) - While the snow fell around the D.C. region on January 21, more than 150 Greenspring residents and staff warmed up inside at the community’s 2 nd Annual Chili Cook-Off. This year, over one dozen recipes were submitted from staff members and residents including Greenspring’s reigning Chili Cook-Off champions.

Georgette Ngembus Named Greenspring’s Director of Nursing

(Springfield, Va.) – Georgette Ngembus has recently been named the new Director of Nursing at Greenspring, an Erickson Living retirement community in Springfield, Va.

Ngembus has worked at Greenspring for more than 11 years. (Springfield, Va.) – On Friday, November 21, unseasonably chilly temperatures didn’t keep residents and staff at Greenspring retirement community from participating in the 12 th annual turkey trot on campus. This year, more than 400 members of the Greenspring community donated funds to help local families this Thanksgiving.

(Springfield, Va.) - On Tuesday, November 18, three of Greenspring’s chefs shared a presentation and provided a culinary demo for students at George Mason University. The topic for the class in the course, “Nutrition Throughout the Lifecycle,” focused on reviewing proper nutrition for seniors. (Springfield, Va.) – Justin G. Reaves has recently been named the Assistant Director of Finance at Greenspring, an Erickson Living retirement community in Springfield, Va. He brings to Greenspring extensive experience in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, and accounting.
