(Springfield, Va.) - Greenspring, an Erickson Living retirement community in Springfield, Va., has been recognized by LeadingAge with the 2013 Excellence in the Workplace Award.  According to LeadingAge, the award "recognizes organizations that demonstrate effectiveness in fostering and advancing a healthy workplace culture and an environment that promotes the recruitment, retention, and development of staff at all levels of the organization."  The award will be presented to Greenspring later this year at the 2013 LeadingAge Annual Meeting and Expo in Dallas, Texas.

Greenspring residents Jack Cason and Charlie Edwards were awarded top medals at the National Senior Games held in Cleveland last week

Tenney brings over 25 years of facility operations and management experience to Greenspring. The retirement community's in-house television station wins award for tenth consecutive year

Greenspring's Channel 6 production team is the proud recipient of two Bronze Telly's from the 34 th Annual Telly Awards.  In its thirteen year history, Channel 6 has won 24 Telly's for the station's outstanding production work.  The Telly's are presented annually to honor local, regional, and cable programs, as well as other video, web, and film productions throughout the world.  This year, there were over 13,000 entries submitted for consideration.
