Distinguished guest judges will choose best heart-healthy meal in Chefs Challenge!

WHAT: Greenspring retirement community is partnering with Inova Heart & Vascular Institute to host a Heart-Healthy Chefs Challenge in honor of American Heart Month. Greenspring's own culinary chefs will prepare heart-healthy meals in front of a live audience of residents, staff, and prospective residents of the community. A distinguished judging panel will select the best meal:
- Jummy Olabanji, Good Morning Washington news anchor with ABC7/WJLA-TV
- Janelle Germanos, community reporter with the Connection Newspapers
- A representative from Inova Heart and Vascular Institute
- Jean Landreville, Executive Director of Greenspring
- Dr. Clint Lambert, Greenspring's Resident Council President
The event will also include expo booths, a fitness demo, and heart-healthy refreshments selected directly Greenspring's healthy choice menu and from Inova's heart-healthy recipes including a Do-It-Yourself Trail Mix, Crunchy Chicken Salad, and Summer Vegetable Curry! Greenspring's dining team and dietitians will also share the community's My Nutrition website, which provides residents with daily meal options and nutritional values for all choices.
