For residents of Highland Springs, the Erickson Living retirement community in North Dallas, the joy of gardening also has a charitable purpose. Over 400 American flags placed near front entrance to celebrate Independence Day DALLAS, TX---At 8:30 on a quiet, sun-splashed July 3rd morning, a new tradition began at Highland Springs, the Erickson Living retirement community. Seventy-five residents and employees created a "wave" of red, white and blue by placing 408 American flags into the ground to celebrate Independence Day. Collegiate scholarships awarded to four students employed by Erickson Living retirement community DALLAS, TX---Honoring academic excellence and achievement in the work place, Highland Springs retirement community announced the recipients of its 2012 Student Scholars' Awards during a ceremony held in June.
