Teamwork: Highland Springs Residents Pitch In for Kids Against Hunger

Dallas, TX— By the numbers, a charitable project performed by residents of Highland Springs retirement community was a tremendous success. 165 volunteers worked in 30-minute shifts on August 24. They measured ingredients, sealed packages and boxed highly nutritious, life-saving meals to support the worldwide humanitarian relief organization, Kids Against Hunger. The team created 17,928 meals immediately ready for shipment to children nearly 1,400 miles away in Honduras, according to Pastor Jamie Bruning. DALLAS, TX—Over 150 residents of Highland Springs retirement community will roll up their sleeves to work on behalf of less fortunate children in the United States and around the world via its Kids Against Hunger project on Monday, August 24.
