DALLAS, TX—Heart disease affects millions of Americans, but its impact on women is often under realized.

That perception was a motivating factor for the American Heart Association’s (AHA) creation of Go Red for Women, its annual awareness campaign in February.

The American Heart Association uses all revenue from local and National Go Red For Women activities to support awareness, research, education and community programs to benefit heart health. As a result, more than 2 million women have taken the Go Red Heart CheckUp in the last ten years.
